Petrosys the Mapping Guru, an international leader in the provision of software systems to the petroleum Exploration and Production (E&P) industry, has donated more than 1 million dollars worth of software to the Rocky Mountain Oilfield Testing Center (RMOTC) and the Memorial University in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada.
The donation to RMOTC brings effective and proven mapping and modelling software technology to the desktop of those involved in developing and testing energy technologies. Such technologies increase production, improve recovery, lower costs, and reduce environmental impact. This donation should benefit a significant number of energy organizations as the race continues to find effective and responsible ways of meeting the world’s energy demands.
“We’re excited and grateful to receive this valuable tool from Petrosys. This will be beneficial to our operation here in Casper and shows the high value of partners working together on the energy challenges we all face today” said Clarke Turner, Director RMOTC.
The donation of mapping and modelling software to Memorial University will equip one of the largest and most diverse Earth Science departments in Canada with access to industry leading software. The university is in close proximity to world-class geology and leading edge petroleum exploration technology which supports a very strong research environment in virtually all major Earth sciences.
