Negotiating and Managing Gas Contracts

Improve your negotiation skills and develop an in-depth understanding of natural gas industry agreements, including resource agreements with host governments, marketing agreements among field participants, sales and purchase agreements and transportation contracts for both LNG and natural gas delivered by pipeline.
This is a practical course which uses case studies and simulated negotiations to highlight key contract issues such as conditions precedent, pricing, take-or-pay obligations, Force Majeure conditions and dispute resolution.

The economic consequences are simulated using GasPak software and you will also be given hints and tips on how to improve on your negotiation style.
Additional material will also be given to address the role played by governments as project participant, purchaser,guarantor and regulator.
