This two day course is a comprehensive overview in practical design issues facing vessel designers in today’s business environment. Trends in design and fabrication techniques will be presented. Formulas for basic design functions will be utilized and all types of vessels will be designed and analyzed using pressure vessel design programs. Advances in materials and the use of Clad linings for severe service vessels will be addressed. To gain maximum value for the course, participants are strongly encouraged to bring a copy of the Section VIII, Div. 1 code to the course, (even if it is out of date) for use during the session. A complete set of course materials and lunches are included.
