ABOUT THE COURSE
Basic Petroleum Technology, in its five-day format, is designed for non-technical personnel and managers, and presents a practical understanding of the petroleum industry technology in an interesting, effective, and efficient manner. Included are the basics of the industry from terminology through basic technology and from geology through processing of the petroleum product. The course emphasis is "understanding" the technology. Participants are placed in the position of Reservoir Engineer, and "Our Reservoir" is defined, analyzed and put in production. Next, drill sites are chosen. Participants are then placed in the position of Drilling/Completion Engineer, and the drilling/completion program for "Our Well" is analyzed. Participation results in greater job confidence, enthusiasm and productivity.
