Petrohawk Energy has just recently released a new map showing that almost the entire county should be productive from the Bossier shale above the Haynesville shale. The reserves should be great from this formation according to the major companies involved. This will cause a major reaction to leasing in the future. Within a year or maybe sooner there probably won't be any leases available in this county to lease. Good news for Shelby County and the mineral owners.
