Job Duties :

BASIC FUNCTION:
Lead the strategic direction and day-to-day activities of the Supply Chain Catalog and Vendor Master functions for company. Develop strategies, methods and procedures that create an effective and efficient system for the identification and specification of materials consumed, held in inventory, or otherwise distinguished as candidate for unique identification in the company.

Lead efforts to improve how part and vendor data is cataloged, searched and presented to our internal users to find the right item for the right job and in a way that’s easy and similar to use as today’s web-based retail segment. Support improvements in the sourcing, procurement, warehousing and invoicing processes across the Supply Chain function leveraging electronic data exchange and e-business platforms. Work with the information technology, strategic sourcing and divisional supply chain teams to continually improve data search capabilities while creating a world-class and user friendly catalog system.

Ensure the provision of tools and structures to facilitate ease of use and efficient selection of required parts in accordance with overarching Supply Chain strategy and operational imperatives. Collaborate with suppliers and commercial sources of information to maintain accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the catalog using various e-procurement platforms and creating digital links with our vendor base to keep items current and updated.

DUTIES: AUTHORITY
Set the organization's catalog content strategy based on the goals and objectives of the organization, and of the various Commodity Managers. This includes the definition of content structure, style, and data requirements.

Lead the global Catalog Team, responsible for overseeing the creation, accuracy and maintenance activities of the company’s master procurement catalog.

Identifies, develops, and manages e-business site content. Establishes connections among internal and external content providers.

Acts as overall content producer and editor for the catalog system.

Responsible for the analysis, development, maintenance and support of new methods and systems to better support our internal users. Works closely with buyers and end users to make sure the application is meeting their requirements for ease of use and accuracy.

Duties may also include the creation and trading of partner profiles, mapping of transactions, establishment of communication links with vendor partners and the testing of secure transaction maps and communication links to ensure security, proper identification and capture of required data.

Assists in the development and documentation of policies and procedures for the e-commerce function.
Collaborate with Commodity Managers to identify and develop appropriate catalogs to minimize the number of transactions requiring Procurement interaction.
Lead development of indirect procurement systems activities, data, queries, data clean-up, report development, etc.
Support end user adoption by providing training sessions to help users become proficient on the system.
Create and perform ad hoc analyses to support procurement services customers and/or sales analytics

Develop and oversee training, development, and continuing education requirements for departmental personnel
Create departmental succession plan and ensure availability of viable candidates for all key positions. Create and execute ongoing recruitment strategy for departmental continuity and availability of qualified personnel.

Develop new processes and techniques to improve data integrity and efficiencies in the Catalog and Vendor database
Provide data analyses for decision making
Develop qualitative and quantitative KPIs for catalog performance
Provide leadership and mentoring within the supply chain organization
Understand Global Supply Chain department’s key controls to ensure the department is compliant with all company, legal and procurement requirements

EXPERIENCE:
• Years of relevant experience: Typically has 3 to 5 years of IT work experience in e-procurement systems, catalog development, enablement, and maintenance, and Web/Internet, database applications and/or data warehousing.
• Preferred working knowledge of oilfield drilling equipment.

SKILLS:
• Must posses a strong balance of business process, technology, and problem resolution skills.
• Functional knowledge of PeopleSoft FMS is a plus.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Education : degreed
Specify Education Certification Training : Bachelor's degree relevant to the field or equivalent focused experience.
