This employer is currently undergoing a significant expansion of their Reservoir Engineering capabilities.
Working as part of the subsurface team as a Reservoir Engineer you will develop and interact with a global network of technical staff and be exposed to state-of-the-art tools, methodologies and technologies. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of geographies and development types, including a variety of offshore, deepwater, onshore, oil, gas and condensate scenarios of differing scale. After the initial position, candidates will also be eligible to apply to work overseas on an expatriate posting, should they so desire. Key elements of your role will include:
- Preparation of life of field depletion plans to optimise economic recovery
- Development scenario planning
- Appraisal and development well planning
- Uncertainty assessment and mitigation
- Technology planning
- Surveillance planning and analysis of reservoir performance
- Short-term optimisation of reservoir offtake
- Coaching and mentoring of more junior team members
This role requires excellent integration with technical and commercial disciplines. It is a key role in shaping and delivering current and new developments, becoming involved in realising the longer-term future of production and providing support and input to a variety of projects.
This employer is seeking at least two Reservoir Engineers at present!! In addition to a strong academic grounding, applicants should hold a proven and in-depth understanding of exploration and/or field development and appraisal techniques in integrated oilfield management projects. Good networking skills and the ability to build successful working relationships, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well at all levels are essential to this role. Priority will be given to those with experience of working successfully as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Previous experience with an operating company would be preferred but is not essential.
