This large international organisation, involved in oil and gas exploration and production around the globe seeks to recruit. Due to ongoing success and plans for further growth senior reservoir engineers are sought in a number of locations. With operations in the Americas, Middle East, Russia and Australasia, this international player is well placed to offer reservoir engineering professionals a dynamic working environment with opportunities to further your career in any of the four corners of the world.
This position will involve providing technical Reservoir Engineering expertise and guidance to the subsurface team. The appointee(s) will be involved in conducting reservoir simulation studies as required and will work closely with facilities and project engineers to enable improved cost estimates, and support decisions regarding off take and facilities design. In addition you will provide technical reservoir engineering support in the design of early field life data acquisition whilst working with multi-disciplinary teams. Given your experience to date, you will be able to provide technical expertise when needed to other exploration projects in the form of peer review participation, etc.
This vacancy is open to senior level reservoir engineers with relevant experience in upstream petroleum/reservoir engineering or related fields with a proven capability in reservoir simulation. In terms of technical capabilities sought, these include:
- Expert user of simulation applications
- Reservoir characterization experience
- Familiarity with Upstream new field development processes
- Familiarity with SEC guidelines
- Probablistic methods and risk evaluation
- Drill well planning and execution
- Ability to interact and communicate with Drilling and Facilities teams, having basic to advanced understanding of drilling processes and facility designs and constraints
- Open hole log analysis

Experience of working in integrated team reservoir characterization and reservoir flow modelling and good interaction, networking, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills are desired.
