This well established company operates in over 100 countries within the fields of exploration and production and also employs thousands of people worldwide. The position will offer you the chance to be part of this successful and constantly expanding company that is interested in new business opportunities. For this position you will be working within the engineering team of the Technical Services division.
On a day to day basis you will be working in a multi-disciplinary team of geoscientists and engineers where you will be responsible for developing exploration activities and getting involved with new business opportunities. Other responsibilities include those outlined below:
• Defining and optimising subsurface development concepts.
• Undertaking field performance and development reviews in order to identify recovery factors for exploration prospects.
• Conducting evaluations using analytical methods and dynamic simulation.
• Providing operational engineering support to exploration wells.
The company is looking for an individual that has strong analytical and communication skills. You will also have extensive experience as a reservoir engineer including experience of reservoir simulation.
In addition you must be educated to degree level in engineering and also have experience within a senior reservoir engineering position. The organisation would also ideally like someone who fits one or more of the following criteria:
• Experience from the North Sea, Middle East or North Africa.
• Experience of deep water operations in West Africa or Brazil.
• Knowledge of probabilistic methods and exposure to GeoX and Eclipse.
