This independent oil and natural gas exploration, development and production company has further exciting plans for growth in early 2010. Through a balanced approached to exploration and acquisitions, this internationally renowned organisation has demonstrated ongoing profitable growth. Outside of the North Sea, this company has assets around the globe, from Africa to North America and the future looks very bright for this dynamic group.

An experienced Geologist is now sought to join the London team and work alongside industry professionals – engineers, geophysicists, and drillers in cross-functional teams. As an adept O&G Geoscientist you will be tasked with developing Geological understanding, reservoir geological model building, well proposal generation and drilling support, among other areas. This role requires an effective communicator with the experience to apply skills acquired in his/her career date to this key post. If you see yourself as someone capable of making a significant contribution to multi-disciplinary asset teams, bringing a broad range of subsurface expertise, then this opportunity will be of interest.

This is an ideal role for a senior level geoscientist keen to make a move to a more challenging and diverse position with an international operator. Previous North Sea experience would be preferred for this role and preference given to those with a degree of operator company development experience. Applicants should be confident on working on technically rigorous evaluations. Your career to date should encompass most or all of the following:
Development geology, field development/redevelopment, geological reservoir modelling (Petrel preferred) & development geology, field development/redevelopment, geological reservoir modelling (Petrel preferred), risk analysis.

Academically you will ideally be qualified to MSc standard in Petroleum Geology/Geosciences or related discipline.
