Risk assessment Engineers needed for Saudi Arabia

Operating globally and working in partnership with over 500 multinational companies in the process, power, transportation and energy sectors, Due to our continued expansion programmes, we have a requirement for the following contract positions to support a major client:

Risk Assessment Engineers (Loss Prevention Department) x 2 – contract 6 – 12 months
Based - Saudia Arabia

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 10 years in or consulting for the oil/gas/petrochemical or similar industries with experience in:

- The overall risk management process
- Conducting consequence modelling and quantitative risk assessment studies for the process industry
- Safety-in-design and loss prevention principles for the process industry
- The application and use of the following software packages: DNV PHAST, DNV - SAFETI, SHELL FRED, SHELL SHEPHERD
- Conducting Event Tree Analysis (ETA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
- Conducting facility siting and building risk assessment studies including prediction of overpressures resulting from vapour cloud explosion modelling and developing risk-mitigation measures.
- Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assignment studies, and Layers of Protection Analysis
- Consequence modelling of well blowouts and pipeline ruptures
- Conducting detailed quantitative risk assessment studies for facilities, pipelines, etc., and establishing individual/societal risk levels

Candidate should have loss prevention/fire prevention engineering experience in areas such as - process safety, safety and loss prevention in plant designs, hazard identification, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, and consequence modelling.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires a good degree in engineering (preferably chemical) or a related physical science.

Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of loss prevention engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, and industry fire and safety codes, standards and specifications, such as those under OSHA, NFPA, NEC, API and ANSI.

Certifications, such as Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer, Certified Safety Professional, and Certified Fire Protection Specialist, are desirable but not essential.

Active participation in process safety centres and organizations (e.g., CCPS, EPSC, etc.) is desirable but not essential.
