Principle Consultant - Drilling and Engineering

Full Details
We are looking for professionals from across the spectrum of experience - consultants, senior consultants and principal consultants. Successful candidates will have worked in the upstream oil and gas sector, with extensive, proven experience in the Drilling/ Well Engineering area including, for example:
?delivering IS projects for Drilling / Well Engineering teams in an Oil Company
??providing systems management/support and/or Information management support to Drilling / Well Engineering teams in an Oil Company
??setting up and/or managing Drilling Operations Rooms
??implementing and/or managing WITSML Real-Time data transmission and exploitation
??training / coaching in Drilling / Well Engineering software
??commercial aspects of managing project/service delivery
They will also be able to demonstrate at least a working knowledge of some of the others (any gaps should be highlighted on the cover sheet):
??Geology
??Geophysics
??Petrophysics
?Resevoir Engineering
??Production Operations
? Facilities Engineering
??Facilities Maintenance
The successful candidate will have experience providing Information Management and/or Systems services and implementation/business process consultancy across the above areas, probably within an Owner-Operator(s) and/or a major oilfield services company. More than anything, the successful candidate will have a passion for assisting clients’ performance improvements through better management of business information.
The posts will be based mainly in either the South East or Aberdeen, with some possibilities to travel or work overseas with clients. Clients and assignments will vary from time to time (requiring some flexibility in location etc.)
Key Skills Required
Client facing consultancy and/or delivery across a range of levels/abilities
Background in Information Management, Systems or Consultancy
Substantial experience of the specified disciplines within the upstream oil and gas sector
Well-developed customer relationship skills
Ability to participate in mixed teams
Ability to lead mixed teams (for senior roles)
