A Principal Electrical Engineer is required to join a leading oil and gas consultancy in its London Head Office. This office is the main location for acquisition and delivery of international projects, as well as major projects for the European theatre. The projects completed here include FEED, design, procurement and construction management services and plant modifications and operations support. The successful applicant will be joining a company where their expertise can be fully utilized, servicing a broad range of clients in the upstream oil & gas process industry.
Job Description
Working as part of a small team of discipline specialists on concept selection, FEED and detail design/EPIC projects, the Principal Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the following:
• Calculations using ETAP
• Production of reports
• Writing specifications, data sheets and requisitions
• Completing technical bid analysis
• Reviewing supplier documentation
• Writing of commissioning procedures
They will also contribute general site support and technical know-how to the projects.
Education and Experience
The company is looking for a technically strong, experienced Team Leader in the petrochemical and oil and gas sector with an extensive background in generation, distribution and UPS systems. Applicants must be degree, CEng or PEng qualified as well as self-motivated and able to set their own work agenda.
The ideal candidate will have a strong offshore and upstream consultancy background in addition to experience in subsea projects.
Salary and Rewards
Not only will the jobholder receive a competitive hourly rate, they will also receive 25 days annual leave (excluding 8 public holidays), life insurance, medical insurance, generous pension scheme, flexi-hours working schedule, regular bonus scheme and a car allowance of £5000 plus.
