Portfolio and Economic Analyst

Well established international E&P player seeks a knowledgeable and highly proactive Portfolio and Economic Analyst to make a substantial contribution managing and growing their broad European portfolio.


Key appointment significantly influencing future direction, investment and continued growth of this highly successful Operator. Complete evaluation of companies, business units, assets and prospects. Identify new venture opportunities. 


Manage the portfolio through maintenance of resource estimates, risk estimates, reserves, reserves booking forecasts, production forecasts, cash flow forecasts and economic indicators for fields in production, pools in appraisal, prospects and leads.


Support acquisition, merger and disposal activities across the region undertaking post acquisition integration planning. Track licence obligations, relinquishments and status of key JOA commitments. Support negotiations on Farm-Outs, Farm-Ins and Sales and Purchase Agreements to closure. 


Maintain corporate risk register and ensure all portfolio and gateway review decisions are properly documented. Manage contract personnel, consultants and staff as needed to complete evaluations and close transactions.


Degree in Business Studies, Geoscience or Engineering. Ideally hold an MBA. Significant upstream experience in project generation and economic analysis, planning and supervision. Knowledgeable in portfolio management using Prospect Scorecard, Rose, PEEP and EXCEL.  


Proven M & A experience together with post acquisition integration. Familiar with development of negotiation briefs and in the conduct of commercial and legal negotiations.
