A leading consultancy servicing a broad range of clients in the upstream oil & gas industry is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to supervise and coordinate its team of engineers and designers.

Job Description
Managing a wide range of projects, the Lead Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for preparing and overseeing mechanical philosophies and studies, contributing to technical bid evaluations and reviewing vendor documentation. They will review specifications, data sheets, requisitions and drawings.
They will also provide technical consultancy to clients on project related mechanical issues and give recommendations on the selection of equipment to meet project requirements.
Education and Experience
As a minimum, applicants must be educated to degree level and have extensive experience the oil and gas industry gained from offshore, subsea and upstream projects. They must be a member of ImechE and be able to formulate concepts right down to the reviewing of detail design.
The right candidate will be able to work on their own and deliver projects on a tight time scale.
Salary and Rewards
As well as a competitive salary dependent on experience, the jobholder will receive 25 days annual leave (excluding 8 public holidays), life insurance, medical insurance and a generous pension scheme. They will also benefit from a flexi-hours working schedule, regular bonus scheme and a car allowance of £5000 plus.
