A Junior Electrical Engineer is required to join one of the world’s largest oil and gas companies. Their operations cover the entire energy chain, including oil exploration and production to trading, shipping and refining and marketing of petroleum products as well as chemicals. The group has operations in over 125 countries and employs approximately 100,000 employees worldwide.
Job Description
The job holder will work alongside the Senior Electrical Engineer and Engineering Manager. They will gain a detailed understanding of the existing systems and operations at each of the distribution terminals and will be responsible for the following:
• Complete routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and corrective maintenance of instrumentation and measurement equipment
• Perform repair, maintenance and modifications of equipment according to the latest revision of the maintenance procedures, Service Levels, T.I.R’s, M.R and FMN’s
• Record maintenance data on condition before or after maintenance
• Assist Senior Electrical Engineer as required
• Perform failure analysis on failed equipment
• Report to Engineering Manager if equipment is going to be down for parts.
• Keeping knowledge of all M.R and T.I.R’s for all relevant tools.
• Completion all relevant records, log books, maintenance records etc in order to generate required reports.
• Complete all tool paperwork at all times & update Tool histories in system
• Prepare equipment according to tool order.
• Responsible for keeping track of personal hand tools and making sure that all hand tools in use are in good and safe condition.

Education and Experience
Applicants must have an Electrical Engineering degree and be a member of IET or be working towards Chartered Engineering status. They must hold a full driving licence and have some relevant working experience in the oil and gas sector. Excellent AutoCad skills are essential as is a UK work permit.
