Job Description
Due to increased workload our client is currently seeking a Safety and Risk Engineer to join their team.
The successful candidate will have an engineering (or related) degree, with relevant experience in the oil and gas/petrochemical industries in the technical safety and risk discipline.
Requirements:
- to be technically competent with good analytical and problem solving skills
- able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
- to be highly motivated, determined, enthusiastic and reliable
- able to work both independently and within multi-disciplined teams.
Key responsibilities for this role include the review of technical standards and company procedures, preparation of calculations, technical notes and drawings, and maintaining technical capability and services.
Qualifications
Engineer with a good technical background in areas such as fire & explosion modelling, quantitative risk assessment and fire protection design.
Technical degree (engineering or an applied science) from a reputable university.
Technical safety/risk study experience, particularly in hydrocarbon processing, with a reputable consulting firm.
