A company that designs and operates an advanced fleet of floating production, storage and offloading vessels is looking for a Head of Electrical & Instrument Engineering to lead a team of 8 people in the Electrical & Instrument Section. The Electrical & Instrument Section provide engineering support, knowledge and experience to the various scopes for new build FPSOs as well as support modification projects for units in operation.

Job Description
Working as part of the Production Engineering Department, the Head of Electrical and Instrument Engineering will be responsible for the following:
• Managing and organising the Electrical & Instrument Section to ensure functions are handled efficiently in a sound economic way to customer satisfaction.
• Supervising the design of electrical and instrument equipment, cables and systems
• Supervising participation in HAZID’s and HAZOP’s
• Monitoring and adjusting engineering support to the projects
• Developing engineering and technical standards

Education and Experience
The ideal candidate is expected to be flexible with good communications skills and able to cooperate across geographic, cultural and professional barriers. They will also have a degree of equivalent in electrical engineer
