Geoscience Manager

Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum, plus a competitive benefits package
Location: Petroleum Reservoir & Economics Group. Wallingford, UK

Description of duties:

To manage and develop the Geoscience Section of the Petroleum Reservoir & Economics Group:

To manage the human and computing resources of the Section
To develop and participate in upstream petroleum geoscience business including data room evaluation projects, exploration prospect analyses and be involved in stock market and financing evaluations
To contribute to petroleum reserve evaluations, audits and certifications
To be responsible for the Geoscience projects' profit, including budgets, plans and monthly accounts
To work closely with others in the Reservoir Engineering and Economics Department

Qualifications/Experience required:

Geology degree or similar, PhD preferred but not essential
Substantial and proven long-term experience with a consultancy or operating oil company
International upstream petroleum evaluations experience
Experience of running a section or department
Experience with relevant industry software including Petrel.
