We are currently looking for Solarc Right Angle Developers for our Houston office.
The Senior Developer is responsible for enhancement, customization, maintenance, and support of our client's installation of Solarc RightAngle. In addition, the Systems Analyst will develop custom software as required for data analysis, interfaces, and reporting. This individual will apply both packaged software and custom-developed components in providing an integrated solution that meets business requirements for our Client's Coal and Fuel Oil business.
Technical Environment
The IT toolset for merchant energy logistics support will include vendor packages such as Solarc RightAngle, as well as custom-developed systems built with c#.net and relational databases.
Required Technical Skills
* At least 2 years experience implementing transaction processing systems in a developer role.
* Significant experience developing stored procedures in T-SQL for SQLServer.
* Significant SQL query experience.
* Experience in capturing and documenting user requirements.
* Significant experience in planning and executing unit, assembly, system, and user acceptance tests.
* Knowledge & experience working with standard application development life-cycle methodologies.
* Demonstrated ability to multi-task multiple development assignments and production support duties in an effective manner.
* Solid verbal & written communication skills to effectively communicate with the business on requirements, design, time-lines, and priorities.
Preferred Technical Skills
* Experience with Solarc RightAngle is strongly preferred.
* Experience with and knowledge of energy trading , logistics, and accounting business processes.
* Development experience with .net technologies.
* Development experience with Powerbuilder.
* Development experience with Tibco tools.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: (*essential job functions)
* Configure and customize Solarc RightAngle to support new business requirements.
* Test planning, execution, and documentation.
* Understand and document business requirements.
* Design and develop technical solutions in the form of packaged software configurations or custom software components.
* Work in a team-environment sharing skills and knowledge with other team members.
* Analyze day-to-day production failures and quickly respond problems to minimize business impact.df-tc
