We are looking for a Project Manager for a leading Oil and Gas Fabrication company specialising in the Fabrication, Construction, Erection and installation of rigs, jack ups and platforms.
The Project manager will have key responsibilities including:
• Provides input to proposals department with regard to project(s) execution and coordination
• Provides “first line” contact with client(s) and coordinates client(s) project requirements
• Manages all project contractual and project related meetings
• Coordinates all activities related to the project(s)
• Ensure that all contractual requirements of the project are communicated to and understood by all relevant departments
• Ensures that all activities relating to the project(s) are planned and that plans are understood.
• Ensure required materials are scheduled and purchased.
• Monitors delivery schedules of project materials and ensure potential slippages are managed.
• Responsible for project material issues and control
• Monitors material usage and costs to ensure material budgets are achieved
• Monitors all elements of work execution and productivity to maximise project efficiencies to achieving required man – hour and procurement budgets
• Ensure that all additional works requested by clients are within the scope of the original contract
• Ensures all contract variations, out with the scope of the original contract, are documented prior to execution
• Ensures all additional works, out with the scope of the original contract, are invoiced.
• Responsible for the effective management and control of project budget(s) and forecast profit margins
• Responsible for liaising with the contracts manager to ensure all stage payments are invoiced in a timely manner
• Develops proactive monitoring and reporting systems and routines to ensure “early warning” of potential project problems
• Prepares and presents project start up, progress and close out reports for senior management
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) responsibilities.
You will be expected to have a good working knowledge of oil Fabrication and construction including welding and manufacturing process, engineering project management and planning.
You will be skilled in negotiating and assessing contractual needs.
You will be a good communicator with all nationalities and leading through a multi national climate.
Experience in the Middle East would be an advantage with experience in Offshore construction.
