An Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer is required to join one of the largest oil and gas companies in Europe. The organization has explorations and production activities on five continents and is very successful, employing over 30,000.
Their main objectives are to strengthen their position in Central and Eastern Europe by initiating a number of projects within Romania and to continue to grow as a company by increasing their gas sales by 2010.
Job Description
Reporting to the Lead Engineer, the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer will be responsible for the following:
• Supporting the Project Department and project teams with regards to cogeneration topic
• Participating in technical reviews, assessments and audits, perform and Supervise technical studies, reports and memos
• Providing engineering knowledge and specific expertise during all project phases from pre-feasibility to commissioning & start up technical assessment of key engineering documents
• Recommending solutions to facilitate project implementation as per scope of work definition and preparation of tender docs, perform bid reviews
• Provide technical support during contract negotiations
• Advisory role to all project managers
• Proactively introducing new technologies as appropriate to meet E&P objectives
Education and Experience
Applicants must hold a degree in Electrical/Electronic/Automation engineering and have extensive knowledge and experience in electrical engineering and instrumentation for power generation plants, substations and overhead lines used in cogeneration. They must have thorough knowledge of and be well practiced in engineering activities during (pre)feasibility, FEED and Detailed Design as well as experienced in project organization, activities and management.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of the relevant Romanian, European and International standards and regulations and good industry practices in the field of expertise.
