International, Publicly Listed Oil and Gas Company (E&P and pipeline operations) seeks strong-skilled Director of Investor Relations.

Summary Job Description:
The Director of Investor Relations will report directly to the CFO and the Chief Accounting Officer and work in close partnership with the executive team to develop and execute a global investor communications program, maintain relationships with shareholders, analysts and the financial community, and provide strategic and competitive market intelligence to the organization.

Responsibilities:
The Investor Relations Director will be the primary point of contact for shareholders and the financial community regarding the company’s operating results and business strategies. This position will:

Manage and expand our investor relations program.

Serve as our primary liaison between senior management and the financial community.

Provide appropriate guidance to the financial community regarding our operating results and business strategies.

Develop and maintain our investor relations web site and competitive market intelligence database.

Prepare our investor presentations, earnings announcements, press releases, conference Q&A call scripts.

Facilitate overall logistics and content requirements for frequent investor meetings.

Provide proactive and reactive communication with financial analysts, institutional investors and shareholders.

Support public reporting requirements including annual reports, quarterly reports, and other public and regulatory communications.

Prepare monthly and quarterly MD&A.

Support internal monthly and quarterly reporting to the board of directors, management and employees.

Analyze the financial results and key performance indicators for the company and its industry competitors for internal equity market valuations for management meetings and presentations to the board of directors.

Assist in capital markets financing and strategic planning.

Complete other ad hoc projects as requested.

Requirements

At least five (5) years experience in the energy industry in relevant financial roles (E&P background/working knowledge a MUST).

Minimum of three (3) years leadership experience in investor relations; experience as a sell-side or buy-side analyst would be a plus.

Demonstrated ability working with financial reporting deadlines and content.

Poise and maturity dealing with the financial community and the board of directors.

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, results-driven environment.

Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance. An advanced degree or certification is preferred.

Working knowledge of SEC and IFRS regulations, in particular Reg FD.

Strong written and verbal communications and presentation skills in addition to strong financial and analytical skills.

Advanced Powerpoint, Excel and Web site skills needed.

Domestic and international travel as needed (expected 20%+).
