Full Details

Genesis Oil & Gas Consultants has been awarded a five-year contract, worth almost £3 million, for the provision of subsea engineering support services to Fairfield Energy Limited.

Initially the contract will cover work on the Dunlin asset but with the option of extending services to other Fairfield assets as the company’s portfolio expands. The core service will cover operations support and asset integrity management with options for project delivery.

Genesis’ newly appointed Subsea Director, Paul Soutar, will act as contract sponsor with the service delivered through the Genesis Subsea Operations Group based in Aberdeen. The contract award represents another step forward for the Subsea Operations Group in Genesis.

The scope of the contract is in support of the entire Dunlin subsea infrastructure covering the development and execution of an integrity management system including corrosion management, inspection services, general integrity support, operations support for all daily issues and queries, repair and maintenance work, and offshore engineering execution management for vessel and asset works.

Keith Taylor, Managing Director for Genesis said “We are delighted at the opportunity to offer our high value service to Fairfield Energy and to assist the company to meet its business objectives in the North Sea. I believe we were awarded this contract as a result of our integrated approach and our technical quality, and highly effective delivery.”

Stephen Sapp, Subsea Engineering Manager for Fairfield Energy said “The Genesis solution provides the best fit for the requirements of Fairfield in its present form, but also for future growth with the company’s plans for assets in the UKCS. I look forward to working with the Genesis team in delivering a “best in class” integrity management system and an operations team capable of meeting the challenges of rehabilitating pre-existing assets while also dealing with the demands of project delivery on new developments”.
