In 2008, and once again supported by GVF, UK Event Management Partners (UK-EMP), is organising the 3rd Annual Oil & Gas Communications Conference for North Africa & the Middle East (O&GC3). This event follows the two successful and widely acclaimed Oil & Gas Communications conferences held in Cairo in 2006 and 2007. The third conference in the series will bring together key leaders and experts from the oil & gas sector as well as the satellite and wider telecommunications industry into one high-level discussion and networking forum at which the nature of the communications imperatives of the energy market vertical will be fully addressed.
Efficient means of communication are essential for mission critical operational success in the North African and Middle Eastern ‘oil & gas patch’. Moreover, exploration and production (E & P) activities across the energy market vertical increasingly require broadband ICT networking capacity for ‘digital oilfield’ applications that are dependent on state-of-the-art satellite-based, satellite-hybrid and terrestrial wireless solutions, with both pure-play and hybridised technologies playing a vital role in the provision of essential connectivity in various challenging climatic and geographic environments.
O&GC3 will create opportunities for end-user companies in the oil & gas vertical across the North Africa and Middle East region to call upon communications solution providers and digital applications solutions vendors – based on both terrestrial and satellite technologies – to more accurately match their offerings to the specific demands and requirements of the digital oilfield in 21st Century E & P.
