OFFSHORE oil and gas drilling major Transocean has turned to global marine accommodation leader C&M Marine Services USA to provide a high-specification living complex for up to 100 personnel from the Celtic Sea rig while it undergoes upgrading work in Mississippi.
C&M has delivered the self-sustaining inter-connectable 24-modular building to Transocean at the Signal International facility in Pascagoula on-time and within budget.
A lightweight build designed to expedite hook-up and durability, the complex includes stainless steel galley and serving areas with dining, recreation, cooler/freezers, offices, storage, locker and stateroom buildings.
Newly designed cabins consist of custom-built bunks and furnishings, extensive bathroom facilities and individual workstations. The interior outfitting utilised a lightweight foam cored painted aluminium wall panel system, rugged seamless flooring system and layout for enhanced comfort and safety.
The complex will remain in position for 4-6 months.
Patrick Granger, President of C&M Marine Services USA, said: “We are delighted to be working with Transocean, supporting them in what is an important upgrade programme on the Celtic Sea platform. This delivery is testament to our customers confidence in our ability to deliver quality and reliable solutions to their offshore requirements on-time, on-spec and on-budget.”
