RAPIDLY expanding networking and communications company Network DNA has announced a key new appointment.
The firm, now based at a new office on 5 Novar Place, welcomes experienced industry professional Tony Smith to take its team of specialist staff to eight.
The 53-year-old, who is based outside the city in Udny, joins the team as technical manager having served Instalec for 23 years and will be the technical lead involved in Network DNA’s major Cisco based projects in 2012.
“The specialist nature of Network DNA’s business was a real attraction especially as it fitted in with my experience,” he said.
“I am looking forward to a fresh challenge and will relish the opportunity to help Network DNA further establish itself a bigger market share.”
Managing director Bill Anderson, who first established Network DNA with Ross MacGregor in February 2008, is again looking forward to joining forces with his new recruit again.
Mr Anderson, who also has more than 20 years of experience within the networking and communications industry, worked alongside Mr Smith earlier in their career.
He added: “Everyone at Network DNA has no doubts that Tony will add a new dimension to our team and will help to further develop our reach within the industry both locally and globally.
“We’ve again been encouraged by a successful 2011 and can look forward to a period of fresh growth and development with Tony on board.”
Network DNA was able to exceed its turnover figures of £500,000 earlier than expected in 2011 and is ready to set new targets early in 2012.
