Hermes Datacomms Middle East, a key specialist providing Wide Area Network communications to the upstream oil and gas industry have successfully registered with the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Natural Resources, allowing them to provide ICT solutions to oil and gas companies in Kurdistan.
This move forms part of Hermes Datacomms Middle East operations vast expansion plans in the region and is in answer to the imminent growth set to take place.
At the opening of the Kurdistan-Iraq Oil & Gas Conference held recently in Kurdistan’s capital city of Erbil, the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Prime Minister Dr.BarhamSalih stated that they have reached an agreement with the central government to increase the regions oil export volume to 175,000 barrels per day in 2012. It was also announced that Kurdistan is in talks with at least two other major international oil companies after signing a ground-breaking deal with ExxonMobil.
