There are still a couple of months to prepare your submission to the Midland Valley Student Structural Prize, our annual competition to find the best structural geology contribution from a student at either undergraduate or graduate level.
The aim of the competition is to write a poster, short paper (max 20 pages) or presentation and thrill Midland Valley's Founding Director, Dr Alan Gibbs with your ideas, innovation and study topic and you can win up to $2,000!!
Entries will be judged upon ability, science and enthusiasm. The criteria for the project is very broad to cover the whole field of structural geology - hard to soft rock, crystal to crustal, academic to commercial. The emphasis is on a good short study with great visuals. The Prize has two levels - undergraduate and postgraduate and is open to students worldwide.
