Providence Resources (PVR) announced that the AJE 4 well offshore Nigeria has five hydrocarbon bearing zones logged with gross pay of c. 690 feet and the Albian deep exploration target has been confirmed as hydrocarbon bearing.

Global Energy Development (GED) said the Boral 1 exploratory well within the Colombian Rio Verde contract tested successfully at 630 barrels of oil per day.

Mediterranean Oil and Gas (MOG) has completed the Ombrina Mare 2 appraisal well and declared the Ombrina Mare Oil and Gas Field as a discovery.

Nighthawk Energy (HAWK) has commenced pilot production and construction of gathering facilities at the Devon Oilfield waterflood project located in Bourbon County, Kansas. One well has been on pilot primary oil production (without water injection) for some weeks. A further 28 successful appraisal are ready to be placed on primary oil production. Construction of a surface gathering system, tying-in the production and injector wells has commenced and is expected to be completed by the end of July 2008.

Leed Petroleum (LDP) said it had now encountered three commercial sands containing a total of 80 feet of pay in the Eugene Island A-7 well. None of the three zones were primary objectives in the well. Drilling remains on schedule to reach total depth in the third quarter of 2008.

Oilex (OEX) has announced that 2D seismic acquisition is about to start in Block JPDA 06-103, located in the Timor Sea JPDA between Timor-Leste and Australia.

Valiant Petroleum's (VPP) Globe exploration well in UK North Sea blocks 9/22 and 9/23c was dry.

Aminex (AEX) announced that the NW Tanan-1 exploration well on the West esh el Mellahah concession in Egypt was dry.

Rift Oil (RIFT) has raised £5.165m in a placing of new shares at a placing price of 5.25p.

Equator Exploration (EEL) has reached a settlement with its bidding partners regarding the remaining net profits interests in both OPL 321 and OPL 323. Equator confirmed that it now has the full 30% economic interest in both blocks out of which the farm-out of 20% of OPL 323 to BG Group is in its final stages and the farm-out of OPL 321 has yet to be agreed.

Europa Oil and Gas (EOG) said that new perforations had been successfully completed at the Crosby Warren and West Firsby oilfields in the East Midlands. There has been a production increase, but it will take time to bring the wells to stable production regimes.

Antrim Energy (AEY) has withdrawn its proposed private placement offering of up to US$100 million in senior unsecured convertible debentures.

And finally, Basic Energy Corporation has alleged that Forum Energy (FEP) is in default in relation to a Sale and Purchase Agreement, dated 3 April 2006, between Forum and Basic. Forum is currently consulting with its legal advisors.
