Further to an announcement by a PetroVietnam Exploration & Production Company representative during a symposium in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, preliminary test results from Miocene Lower Bach Ho 5.2 pay zone in the TGT-5X appraisal well on the Te Giac Trang ("TGT") structure on Block 16-1 offshore Vietnam yielded approximately 7,300 barrels of oil per day (“BOPD”). An earlier test from the Oligocene interval in the same well flowed approximately 7,000 BOPD, thus producing a preliminary combined test of more than 14,000 BOPD.
Testing is still underway in the Miocene interval. Final results and details of both tests will be announced when testing is complete, which is expected to be later this week.
