Regal Petroleum Announces Appointment of Finance Director and Chief Technologist

Regal Petroleum, the independent oil & gas exploration and production company with interests in the Ukraine, Romania and Egypt, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Robert Wilde as Finance Director of the Company with effect from 1 May 2008 and the appointment of Mr Ronan McElroy as Chief Technologist.

Mr Wilde (aged 43) has over 20 years experience in the energy industry, having worked in upstream, oil & gas, with Phillips Petroleum and Ranger Oil and also in the downstream power generation sector with Powergen and RWE. He has held a number of senior finance and managerial roles in respect of projects in Hungary, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Russia. Most recently, Mr Wilde was Finance Director of Baltic Oil Terminals Plc, having taken that company to IPO on the AIM market in 2006. He is a graduate in Geology & Geophysics from Imperial College, London and qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young.

Mr McElroy (aged 43) is a geoscientist with over 18 years experience in the upstream oil industry. He was with Shell for 9 years where, amongst other projects, he participated in the Guda discovery in Rajasthan, the first onshore discovery in India by a foreign company for over 50 years. Mr McElroy then worked for Saudi Aramco at strategic corporate level and most recently was Head of Production Development for Dubai Petroleum Establishment. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Geology from the University of Edinburgh and a PhD in Structural Geology and Sedimentology from the University of Cambridge.

The Board of Regal now comprises the following directors:

Antonio Mozetic (Non-Executive Director)
