International management and business development expert Peter Hughes has been appointed a Director with management consultancy Arthur D. Little's Global Energy & Utilities practice. He will work closely with energy and utility clients across the global practice, contributing his industry knowledge and expertise to the consultancy's growing energy business.
Hughes comes to Arthur D. Little with over 28 years of industry knowledge and strategic management experience, gained from serving in the most senior roles in both international oil and gas companies and in consultancy. He has led major oil and gas companies' strategic business initiatives in diverse environments, and has significant experience of business development in both emerging and developed markets.
Stephen Rogers, Director of Arthur D. Little's Global Energy & Utilities Practice in the UK, said: "We are very excited that Peter is joining the firm. Hughes joins Arthur D. Little following a successful career within the oil and gas industry in both consulting and executive management, having most recently worked for BG Group plc in Senior Vice President, Business Development, and Executive Vice President, Strategy roles. Prior to joining BG, he worked as Vice President, Strategy and Portfolio for BP Gas, Power & Renewables, following previous experience of management consultancy and building client relationships as Senior Director and Head of the PanEurAsia Group for Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA).
