Friday, July 30, 2010

NOF Energy has announced the appointment of six new board members as the organisation continues its growth in existing and emerging energy sectors.

The business development organisation for the oil, gas, nuclear and offshore wind sectors, now has a 16-strong board made up of experienced and respected professionals from the UK energy sector.

Joining the board are:
- Keith Bell, Managing Director, Mech-Tool Engineering Ltd
- Paul Charlton, Managing Director , PDL Solutions (Europe) Ltd
- Andrew Esson, Managing Director, ContiTech Beattie Ltd
- Alastair Kennedy, Director, Global Energy Group
- Graham Payne, Managing Director, Darchem Engineering Ltd
- Gill Southern, Director, Wessington Cryogenics Ltd

The expanded board will support and guide NOF Energy's strategy to increase its presence across the energy sectors and in more international markets.

The organisation, which has in excess of 350 members, is advocating a balanced approach to energy resources and is therefore facilitating opportunities for members to maximise their position in the emerging nuclear and offshore wind sector supply chains alongside existing activity in the oil & gas markets.

In addition to recently launching an international membership package for overseas companies looking to establish working relationships with UK companies, NOF Energy is also building new networks in countries such as Brazil where it has just signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with FIERGS to encourage partnerships between UK companies and Brazilian companies based in Rio Grande do Sul.

Neil Kirkbride, Chairman of NOF Energy and Chief Executive of BEL Valves, said:
'We have experienced tremendous growth in recent years as more companies in the energy sector look to take advantage of the NOF Energy network and the suite of business development services offered by the organisation.

'Increasing the size of the board has allowed us to welcome some more of the energy sector supply chain's most respected individuals. Their experience and knowledge will further aid the growth of NOF Energy and in turn the opportunities for members across more sectors and markets.'
