JSC KazMunaiGas Begins Trading on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange

JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (“KMG EP” or the “Company”), one of the leading producers of crude oil in the Republic of Kazakhstan, is pleased to announce that trading of its newly-issued ordinary shares commenced on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange unconditionally yesterday, 04 October 2006. KMG E&P further announces that its global depositary receipts (”GDRs”) have been admitted to the UKLA’s Official List and commence trading unconditionally today on the London Stock Exchange at 08.00 (London time).
