This week, Ikon Science releases RokDoc 5.6 software; providing powerful new science to model unconventional reservoirs including shales, fractured reservoirs, heavy oils and compacting reservoirs. This release provides unique functionality for quantitative interpretators and reservoir teams.

Delivery Inversion module - link provided for CSIRO's stochastic petro-elastic inversion method. Implemented via an Inverter and Analyser function - Delivery is directly run from RokDoc, output returns to RokDoc for QC.

Self-consistent approximation - calculation of effective K and Mu after the introduction of inclusions. A homogenous background is previously assumed.

Reservoir geometry joins fluid saturation, pressure and time-lapse seismic, as a date dependent property to form a complete 4D model.

Production induced compaction in reservoir, estimated from pressure-change, porosity-loss and subsidence maps, is modelled with associated subsidence and velocity change in the overburden.

Validate pressure-variations in reservoir simulations, porosity-change in 4D seismic and improve infill well-planning.

Observe subsidence on fences simultaneously with porosity/pressure change.

Enhanced 4D Seismic Modelling and Analysis

User-defined Master-Scripts - user-defined scripts for Rock Physics Models can be made from Master Scripts containing proprietary algorithms which are not part of ChronoSeis or RokDoc.

4D Seismic Modelling - Recall RokDoc 1D/2D cross-plot templates or user-defined scripts.

Inverting time-lapse properties to 4D saturation and pressure - opt to use user-defined scripts or RokDoc cross-plot templates in inverse mode.

Variogram Modelling - from well logs, trend maps or 3D model properties. Model can be stored and recalled.

Absolute Coloured and Spectral Inversion - realised and stored as 3D/4D seismic volumes.
