INPEX Acquires Interests in the WA-410-P and the WA-411-P, Browse Basin, Australia

INPEX Holdings Inc. announces that, through its wholly owned subsidiary INPEX Browse, Ltd., it has acquired a 20% interest in the WA-410-P and a 26.6064% in the WA-411-P both of which are located in the Browse Basin, approximately 200km offshore Western Australia in the Australian Bidding Round in 2007 Year.

The WA-410-P covers an area of about 374km2, with a water depth ranging 450m to 600m. The other partners are Santos (operator) with a 30% interest and Chevron with a 50%.

The WA-411-P covers an area of about 2,323km2, with a water depth ranging from 180m to 460m. The other partners are Santos (operator) with a 63.6299% interest and Beach Petroleum with a 9.7637%.

The new permits are adjacent to the Ichthys Field in the WA-285-P, which INPEX Browse discovered in 2000. INPEX Browse as the operator with a 76% interest and its partner Total with a 24% are jointly conducting the preparation works as an LNG development. In addition to these permits, INPEX Browse holds the interests in WA-274-P, WA-281-P, WA-341-P, WA-343-P and WA-344-P in the Browse Basin.
