Exoma Energy Limited (ASX:EXE) is pleased to announce the spudding of Wonganella-1, the second well of 12 wells in the 2011 exploration campaign in the Central Queensland Galilee Basin.

Target
Primary Target: Coal Seam Gas in the Permian Betts Creek and Aramac coal measures. The coal measures are to be cored for desorption testing, the well will be logged and selected coal intervals may be drill stem tested to measure permeability.
Secondary Target
Shale gas in the Toolebuc Formation; to be tested by chip sampling and logged.

Wonganella-1 is the second well to be drilled under the joint venture with CNOOC Galilee Gas Company Pty Ltd. Exoma is joint venture operator and has a 50% interest in its five Galilee Basin permits covering 26,840 km². CNOOC Galilee Gas Company Pty Ltd will contribute the first $50 million of exploration expenditure to earn a 50% interest in each permit.
