Serica Energy and its partners are offering an opportunity to acquire a significant interest in two contiguous offshore drill-ready blocks in Morocco covering a total area of 12,714 km2 (Water depth range 80 - 2000m).

Extensive technical evaluation has identified an exciting and untested Early Cretaceous turbidite play charged by mature oil-prone Jurassic source, as well as a variety of additional play types with a diverse range of trapping configurations.

Over 30 prospects and leads have been mapped with 2.9 Bbbls unrisked resource potential. Morocco is one of the most fiscally favourable countries worldwide for exploration, with a rapidly growing domestic market (energy bill of US$10.7 billion in 2011). It is currently undersupplied, importing 99% of oil and 91% of gas which makes it Africa's 2nd largest importer.

The current license holders are looking for a full carry on an exploration well in return for operatorship and significant equity.
