Entek Energy Limited announces the following changes to the Board of Directors.
Mr Andrew J Padman joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director on 1 September 2008.
Mr Padman has over 32 years experience in the upstream petroleum E & P industry, working on new ventures, exploration and exploitation projects in the sedimentary basins of S.E. Asia and the UK North Sea and most of the basins of Australia and New Zealand, with some experience in the Gulf Coast, USA.
Welcoming the appointment, Entek Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Russell Brimage said the company had searched widely for a technically experienced director as part of the restructuring of the Board.
“Global strong demand for oil and gas has resulted in increased exploration activity worldwide, creating strong demand for petroleum geotechnical and engineering expertise. In this environment the Company is fortunate to secure the services of Andy in this important role. We consider the appointment of Andy as rounding of the board skills and experience required to guide Entek through its exciting future growth plans,” Mr Brimage said.
Mr Paul Garner resigned from the position of Executive Director on 30 August 2008. He has been an executive director of the Company since August 10th 2005.
“Paul was appointed to the board of Entek when the company was at a very low point in its short history. With little money and facing default in the limited joint ventures in which it was involved, the company faced a bleak future. Paul’s efforts cannot be under estimated as part of the team that resurrected the company to what it is today - a junior explorer and producer with a strong cash flow, exciting development prospects and a growing reserves base.”
