Monday, September 01, 2008

Enovation Resources, a Bermuda based oil & gas exploration, development and production company with assets in the Gulf of Mexico and Asia Pacific region, has achieved first production, with gas being produced from the West Cameron 225 (OCS-G0900) 7 and 8 wells, located offshore in the Gulf of Mexico

Wells 7 & 8 tested at a gross rate of 7.4 mmscfgd. The WC225 lease is approximately 40 miles off the Louisiana coast in circa 60 ft of water and wells 7 & 8 have been tied back to the WC225 ‘C’ platform production facility.

Enovation has a 26.25% working interest in both wells which were operated by Houston based Breton Energy LLC.

Bernard Wayne, CTO, with responsibility for Enovation’s operations in the Gulf of Mexico, said:
"We are delighted that first gas production has been achieved by the operator in such a short space of time from our first well spud in the region during December 2007."

Diz Mackewn, CEO of Enovation Resources, added:
"This is a significant strategic milestone for the company. Sales of gas from our interests in Gulf of Mexico leases will provide early cash flow for Enovation, underpinning our operations and enabling us to concentrate on building further value."
