Monies raised will be added to the £3.9 million raised to date by BG Energy Challenge events worldwide. Mark Carne, Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Europe, BG Group said:

“Having taken part for the last two years, I know just how mentally and physically tough the event can be. It provides a unique platform for companies to network and bond internally, whilst raising vital funds for our two chosen charities. We are extremely proud of the fundraising we have achieved to date and are looking forward to building on the £205,000 raised last year.”

Jump jockey champion and legend Richard Dunwoody will also be taking part in this year’s event as a member of the charity team. As Team Leader, he will be joined by Senior Managers and Directors from participating in the special Leader’s challenge taking place on Saturday 12 July where they can expect to face a range of tasks as diverse as kayaking and mountain biking to code breaking and complex construction.

The BG Energy Challenge series has been running worldwide since 1996. Events have been held in Brazil, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, Oman, Trinidad & Tobago and the US. For further information and results, please visit www.bg-energychallenge.com
