Commenting on the appointments, Keith Lough, Composite Energy’s Chief Executive Officer, said;
“During 2008, Composite Energy has grown from having one coalbed methane licence and a drilling operation in Scotland, to now having coalbed methane licences in Scotland, England and Wales as well as our first international licence, in Poland. The Board appointments reflect the expansion of our interests and I am delighted we have secured the services of three highly experienced and well regarded executives.
I have every confidence that the addition of John Rennocks, John Bentley and David Gray to the Board will be extremely helpful to Composite Energy as we move forward with our business plan together with our strategic co-venturer BG Group.
I would also like to acknowledge the tremendous support we have received from Kevan Fearnley who steps down as Chairman after 5 years. Kevan was instrumental in bringing together the founder team and venture capital and has chaired the company through our early-stage developments.”
