Caspian Oil & Gas Announces Appointment Of Chief Operating Officer

Caspian Oil & Gas Ltd has announced the appointment of Mr Graeme Parsons as Chief Operating Officer commencing late August 2006, with responsibility for the Company’s oil activities. Caspian has oil interests in the Kyrgyz Republic and is presently assessing oil and gas opportunities in a number of West African locations.

Mr Parsons is a Petroleum Geoscientist with over 25 years experience in the Australian and international oil and gas sectors. His skills set covers a broad spectrum across the petroleum industry including exploration (geology & geophysics including basin & acreage evaluation), appraisal, development, operations (drilling, completions, fraccing), Project/Programme management, production forecasting, economic evaluation, reserves estimation, portfolio analysis and Government and landholder relations.

In his last role, Mr Parsons was responsible for the subsurface management of Santos Ltd’s South West Queensland Cooper Basin gas assets which include over 50 gas fields and 100 producing wells.

Mr Parsons’ remuneration package will include the issue of 5,000,000 options to subscribe for shares in the Company, exercisable at 8 cents each on or before 31 December 2009.
