Candax Energy Inc. announces that Pascal Mirville has joined Candax as full-time Chief Operating Officer and General Manager, Tunisian Operations to replace Bertrand Launois who was acting as part-time Chief Operating Officer since March 31, 2010 and Claude Seiler who has been General Manager, Tunisian Operations since 2010. Pascal Mirville has 32 years experience in the oil and gas industry and has managed numerous operations most notably in West Africa as District Manager and in North and South America as Vice President, Americas for the Geoservices group. He holds a Degree in Electronics from Ecole Central d'Electronique Paris. Pascal will be based in Tunisia.
Benoit Debray, Chairman of Candax commented, "The addition of Pascal to the Candax team reinforces Candax's hands-on management skills and oilfield experience. By combining the position of Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of Ecumed Petroleum, our Tunisian operating company, we strengthen Candax's presence in Tunisia as we move forward with increased focus on our Tunisian operations. Specifically, in the second half of 2011 and into 2012 Candax will be operating the water-flood development of Robbana as well as further works on El Bibane."
