Bow Valley Energy has appointed Mr. T. (Tom) Ruissen to the position of Vice President, Exploration.
As a member of the senior management team, Mr. Ruissen will be responsible for creating and sustaining Bow Valley's exploration growth in western Canada. He will provide leadership, mentoring, direction and focus to the exploration team while assisting the senior management team in defining and implementing strategic, operational and financial plans.
Mr. Ruissen brings to the Company 21 years of progressive oil and gas industry experience focused on the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. He graduated in 1982 from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in geology. Since graduation, Mr. Ruissen has held positions of increasing responsibility with Amoco Canada Petroleum Co. Ltd., Rigel Oil & Gas Ltd. and Baytex Energy Ltd.
