Dr. Andreas Priefler has been appointed Director of Communications of Wintershall Holding AG as of 1 April 2008. The 41-year-old is now responsible for communications, energy policy and events management at the wholly-owned BASF subsidiary. He reports to the Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors, Reinier Zwitserloot.
Dr. Priefler was previously Director of Press and Public Relations at the German Hospital Federation (Deutsche Krankenhausgesellschaft DKG), a post he held since the summer of 2000. He succeeds Jens-Georg Fey, who has taken a new position with BASF in Brussels.
