Acquisition of RBA Group Limited by RPS Energy Limited

Wednesday, April 09, 2008

Rudall Blanchard Associates (RBA) and RPS Energy Limited (RPS) are pleased to announce that, with effect from 28th March 2008, RBA has joined RPS Energy. The combined group will operate on a worldwide basis from regional offices in Europe, the USA, Canada, SE Asia and Australia.

This move, which is in response to developing market opportunities within the oil and gas consulting sector, adds significant additional capability into RPS Energy. It provides the combined group with the capability and infrastructure to deliver an added range and quality service to both existing and new clients. The complementary nature of the services provided across the organisation and the good fit in the geographical footprint of each business will help to ensure that clients receive an enhanced and responsive service on a worldwide basis. Combining the organisations in this way provides opportunities for improving standards and training in the operational aspects of the business and enhances RPS’s existing range of technical services in health, safety and environmental management, as well as geosciences, engineering and project management.

There are significant synergies between the two companies and RPS has acquired RBA to add capability to its business in the energy sector and to promote further development such that international business can be robust, and sustained. Support will be provided by RPS for the combined group going forward.

The management teams of both organisations will remain with the businesses and contribute to its future success. Both RPS Energy and RBA value and benefit from the long-term relationships that they have with their employees, consultants, and clients. The philosophy of placing value on these key relationships will be retained in the combined organisation going forward with the expanded group providing new opportunities for its personnel on both project and career development levels.
