Oil & Gas UK is the leading representative body for the UK Offshore Oil and Gas Industry. Its membership is open to all companies active in the sector. Its purpose is to develop and further the case for a safe, sustainable and profitable future for the UK offshore oil and gas industry through:
• Organising and sustaining an active and informed dialogue within and across all sectors of the industry on all issues affecting it, whether of a technical, financial, economic, safety, environmental, social, or any other nature
• Promoting co-operative solutions to industry issues
• Engaging with all levels of government in the UK and EU
• Providing industry representation in the Pilot Forum and other similar organisations
• Organising and conducting relevant research, studies, projects and other activities
• Engaging with all trade associations, trade unions, NGOs and other organisations involved in or with the Industry
• Engaging with the public through the media in all its forms.
The Benefits of Oil & Gas UK
Oil & Gas UK provides:
• A stronger voice for Industry, particularly in its conversations with government, as it represents both the principal employers and investors and, by being a single organisation, facilitates a co-ordinated approach
• A simplified and therefore more efficient administration of industry representation in Pilot, meaning less time spent in meetings for many of the members
• Issues Forums for members that are representative of the whole industry
• Membership open to all sectors of the industry, unlike ILT, which was by invitation only, or UKOOA, which was restricted to operators
• Greatly improved networking opportunities
• Access for members to the shared analytical and research facility, extranet and information, previously only available to UKOOA members
Membership and Subscriptions:
Oil & Gas UK will have the following classes of membership:
• Production Operators who will pay a fixed fee, plus a levy based on their gross operated production
• Contractor members who will pay an annual subscription fee, dependent on the size of their UK group turnover
• Non operator or small independent oil company members who will pay a fixed fee
• Exploration Operators who will pay a fixed fee
