In 2003, Haiti produced 546 million kilowatt-hours of electricity while consuming 508 million kilowatt-hours. Most of the country's energy from the burning of wood. Haiti imports oil, consuming about 11,800 barrels per day (1,880 m3/d), as of 2003.
